These 2 photos are before & after shot of a Somali boy we “adopted” while in the village of Baardera. The first pic of the very skinny kid is when we first arrived in Baardera in December 1992. Picture quality isn’t the best as it was taken with a crappy Pino 35 film camera. The second shows him (he’s the one in the middle) when we left in January 1993. His name was Ibram but we nicknamed him Willy. We even had a set of rules for Marines to follow in taking care of him.
